Brandon Marshall won't let an injury end his storied career. He wants to go out on his own terms.

"I'm a competitor, and I don't want to go out like that," Marshall told ESPN's Adam Schefter. "I'm definitely not going out like that."

The New York Giants wide receiver suffered a season-ending ankle injury in Week 5. With a TV career likely in the cards once he retires and now being 34 years old, it was a legitimate question whether he'd continue in the NFL.

However, the pass-catcher is focused on getting back to full health.

"That's my mindset right now," he said.

Marshall is signed through the 2018 season, but disappointed prior to his injury, catching just 18 passes for 154 yards with zero touchdowns
