Ben McAdoo 'not surprised' Giants are 0-4

Of all the remaining winless teams, most people would point to the New York Giants as the most surprising.

The Giants went 11-5 last season en route to the playoffs, yet head coach Ben McAdoo isn't stunned by an 0-4 start to 2017.

"I'm not surprised. I'm not shocked," McAdoo said after Sunday's loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, according to Gary Myers of the New York Daily News. "You can't carry things over from one year to the next. We talked about that in the offseason."

The Giants have been trying to overcome offensive line issues and an injury to Odell Beckham to start the season, but it's still somewhat surprising they haven't at least secured one victory.

Beckham seemed slightly more perplexed about the record than McAdoo.

"I would've never thought we would go 0-4, but it is what it is," Beckham said. "That's what our record is. We can't sit here and cry about it. You just have to keep trying to get better each and every day, get the first win, and see what happens from there."

Giants quarterback Eli Manning is trying to remain positive, despite the frustration of losing back-to-back games on last-second field goals.

"You just keep fighting for a win," Manning said. "That's all you do every week. The record doesn't matter. You want that feeling. You want that feeling after the game. We need it. We want it. But nothing is going to be given to us. We got to go out there and get wins. We got to go out there and play good football. It is tough to lose two games in a row on field goals - on walk-off field goals."

New York will have a chance for its first win against another winless squad next week, when the Giants host the Los Angeles Chargers.
