Watch: Howard takes down Steelers with walk-off TD in overtime

Mike DiNovo-USA TODAY Sports

Thanks to the brilliance of Jordan Howard, the Chicago Bears pulled off one of the best upsets of the young NFL season Sunday.

With the game against the Pittsburgh Steelers in overtime, Howard raced through a hole in the line and took it 19 yards for the winning score.

It was a fitting ending to an impressive day for the Bears' second-year running back. Howard paced the offense with 138 yards and two touchdowns on 23 carries, and also finished as the club's leading receiver despite only totaling 26 yards.

The Bears raced out to a 17-7 halftime lead before the Steelers tied the score with 8 minutes to play in the contest. After winning the toss in overtime, Tarik Cohen took the second play of the extra frame 73 yards for what looked like the winning score, but was ruled out upon replay after a gain of 36.

Not to be deterred, Howard wasted no time finishing the contest, taking the next handoff 18 yards before completing the victory with his 19-yard winner.
