From the voice that brought you "Omaha!" comes the character "Guapo" in 20th Century FOX's animated film "Ferdinand."

Retired quarterback Peyton Manning is following up starring roles with the Indianapolis Colts, Denver Broncos, and Nationwide to voice a character in an animated movie based on Munro Leaf and Robert Lawson's children's book, "The Story of Ferdinand."

Manning, who's appeared on "Saturday Night Live" multiple times, is excited to be doing something geared toward a younger, wider audience.

“I was flattered to be asked by the good folks at Fox and by the creators of this film, 'Ferdinand.' It’s something that I kind of wanted to be a part of, just to be able to watch this film with my kids and to see them laugh knowing maybe that’s their dad up there, on-screen. That’s kind of a cool thing at this moment because of their age and because animated films are so popular with my kids and certainly a lot of kids their age,” Manning said of the career move, according to Kara Warner of PEOPLE.com.

The movie, set around an animated bull voiced by WWE superstar John Cena, is set for release on Dec. 15, 2017.
