Broncos OC after routing Cowboys: 'We should have put up 50'

The Denver Broncos were seemingly unstoppable during Sunday's 42-17 rout of the Dallas Cowboys, but offensive coordinator Mike McCoy wasn't satisfied.

"We should have put up 50," McCoy said to Michael Silver of NFL.com. "Look, I want to score every single time we have the ball, and then I want to score some more - that's my mentality, and that's how I approach it. I love our defense, and they're capable of carrying us, but I'm trying to give them as much of a cushion as I can. So I'm going to try to get the ball in the end zone, until (head coach Vance Joseph) tells me to stop."

Trevor Siemian threw four touchdown passes in the game, while C.J. Anderson rushed for 118 yards and a score, and the Cowboys' defense couldn't make any stops.

Receiver Demaryius Thomas, who caught six passes for 71 yards, believes the Cowboys - along with most NFC opponents - underrated the Broncos' offense entering the contest.

"I don't know if they expected that," Thomas said. "Every time we play an NFC team that's considered a powerhouse, people (underestimate) us, just like when we played the Carolina Panthers in the Super Bowl. Usually, the game is in (the Cowboys') hands - they're running the ball and controlling the clock. We ended all that."

At 2-0, the Broncos appear to be firing on all cylinders. Count them out at your own peril.
