Report: Bengals' Eifert uncertain for Week 3 due to back, knee injuries

David Kohl / USA TODAY Sports

Cincinnati Bengals tight end Tyler Eifert's status for Week 3 against the Green Bay Packers is uncertain due to back and knee injuries, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Eifert has just four catches for 46 yards this season, so it's possible he's not been healthy during the first two games, though no one on the Bengals' offense has produced their normal numbers.

The 0-2 Bengals are looking to turn things around after scoring just nine points in the first two weeks of the season.

Cincinnati fired offensive coordinator Ken Zampese last week and replaced him with quarterbacks coach Bill Lazor. If Eifert is forced to sit out Week 3, it will likely make a difficult transition even harder.
