Report: Broncos fear major ankle injury for 1st-rounder Garett Bolles

Ron Chenoy / USA TODAY Sports

The Denver Broncos may have decimated the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday, but they didn't finish the game unscathed, as Jeff Legwold of ESPN reports the Broncos are concerned that left tackle Garett Bolles suffered a torn Achilles.

Bolles will undergo an MRI Monday, and, if his Achilles is indeed torn, he will almost certainly miss the remainder of his rookie season.

Legwold's colleague reported slightly different news, as ESPN's Adam Schefter is saying that Bolles broke his ankle, citing a source.

However, Bolles' wife is reporting something slightly more optimistic, that the injury her husband sustained is nothing more than a high-ankle sprain.

Regardless of the type of injury, Bolles was seen postgame walking in a boot with the aid of crutches.

Bolles was selected by the Broncos with the 20th overall pick in this year's draft.
