Atlanta Falcons linebacker Vic Beasley is expected to miss at least one month with a slight hamstring tear incurred Sunday night against the Green Bay Packers, Zach Klein of ABC TV Atlanta reports.

It was previously reported by ESPN's Jim Trotter that the Falcons didn't believe Beasley's injury was serious, but that he was scheduled for further testing Monday.

Beasley led the NFL with 15.5 sacks last season, earning Pro Bowl and first-team All-Pro honors.

If he's out for a month, it would be a blow for a young, ascending Falcons defense that's looking to make another deep playoff run.

Beasley recorded a sack in both games he played to open this season.
