Ravens' Danny Woodhead: Likely to miss 4-to-6 weeks

Woodhead (hamstring) is expected to be sidelined for 4-to-6 weeks, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

Analysis:

That timetable was established after Woodhead underwent an MRI on Monday following his removal from the Ravens' season-opening victory over the Bengals due to the left hamstring injury. For the third time in four seasons, Woodhead looks set to miss multiple games due to injury, but fortunately, it appears his latest setback isn't nearly as severe as the torn ACL that ended his 2016 campaign in Week 2. Javorius Allen benefited the most from Woodhead's early exit in the opener, logging 21 carries in 33 snaps for 71 yards. The Ravens' sizable lead allowed coach John Harbaugh to limit starter Terrance West's workload in the second half, however, so expect Allen's role to become a little more muted in Week 2 against the Browns if that contest proves more competitive.
