Derek Carr and Khalil Mack are the two cornerstones of the Oakland Raiders franchise, and they stood together in solidarity during the national anthem prior to their preseason game Saturday.

Carr stood next to Mack, with his hand on his teammate's shoulder throughout "The Star-Spangled Banner."

The star quarterback wasn't the only Raider to take action, as Marshawn Lynch sat for the anthem for the second straight week.

Carr's gesture follows similar displays of support from Chris Long and Justin Britt for Malcolm Jenkins and Michael Bennett, respectively.

Jenkins continued his protest from last season, raising his fist during the anthem, while Bennett has vowed to sit through it for the entire campaign.
