Gronk denies report of $100K bar tab, says he'd rather give to charity

Word of Rob Gronkowski racking up a $100,000 bar tab while partying with Flo Rida over the weekend was met with exactly the kind of response you might expect. Perhaps the sporting world's more adored partier, it was just Gronk being Gronk.

Not so fast, though.

Rather than staying quiet and letting the story fade, the New England Patriots tight end took to Twitter to essentially issue a denial that he had put up such a significant amount of money.

Including a picture of the $110,000 raised and donated to the Boston Children's Hospital earlier this year, Gronkowski suggested that he'd rather donate such a hefty sum than blow it at a club.

Gronkowski's party reputation is, of course, well-earned. Among the many infamous shenanigans was a party cruise to the Bahamas he put together in February 2016 called Gronk's Party Ship.

But he's also long been a major contributor in the community, and he revealed back in 2015 that he lives off endorsement money while not spending a dime of his NFL earnings.

The 28-year-old is scheduled to make a cool $5 million from the Patriots for the upcoming season.
