Dallas Cowboys cornerback Nolan Carroll was arrested for driving while intoxicated early Monday morning in Dallas, reports WFAA.

Carroll, who was signed to a three-year, $10-million contract in March, posted bond and was released Monday afternoon.

The 30-year-old spent the last three seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles, starting the last 27 games he was active for, and was expected to be a main contributor to Dallas' secondary next season.

His $3 million in guaranteed money is enough to make the team think twice before cutting ties with Carroll, but with the drafting of cornerbacks Chidobe Awuzie and Jourdan Lewis this spring, the Cowboys could likely get by without Carroll if they chose to.
