Brown unfazed by pressure of being NFL's highest-paid WR

Antonio Brown is no longer one of the league's biggest bargains after the Pittsburgh Steelers finally rewarded their star receiver in February with the monster contract extension he's been pushing for over the past few years.

The Steelers handed Brown a four-year, $68-million deal, making him the league's highest-paid receiver by some margin. Following what was technically a down year in 2016 - Brown posted his lowest yardage and catch output since 2012 - the veteran wideout is looking to cement his place as the game's best.

"You can always raise the ceiling," Brown said Wednesday, according to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler. "You always have to get better or worse. You have to continue to get better."

Asked about the pressure to perform following his pay day, Brown said it's nothing new for him.

"It's pressure every day. It was pressure the day for me to come here, pressure today for me to work here," Brown said. "You've got to love it. It comes with the job. My focus now is helping us win a championship."

The 29-year-old Brown will attempt to remain an elite option as he enters his 30s - a task that was made much easier by star quarterback Ben Roethlisberger opting to return for the 2017 season after flirting with retirement.

"I wasn't surprised (he returned)," Brown said. "Ben is a warrior. He's been through it all. Never questioned his commitment. I wouldn't want to play with anyone else."
