Despite advancements in equipment and changing rules, injuries remain a big part of football. Some positions are more prone to injury than others, though.

A study conducted by OnlineGambling.ca found that tight ends, with odds of 35.6 percent, are most likely to land on injured reserve. Running backs (31 percent) and wide receivers (28.5 percent) round out the top three.

Knee and ACL injuries accounted for the majority of IR stints over the last two NFL seasons. In fact, players were 122.7 percent more likely to miss game time due to a knee injury than a concussion.

The Baltimore Ravens had the worst luck with injuries during this time, losing 24 offensive and another 24 defensive players to IR. The Oakland Raiders, meanwhile, had the fewest IR stints with five offensive players, nine defensive players, and one special teamer.
