O.J. Simpson is set to face a parole hearing this summer after spending nearly a decade behind bars and could be released before the year is over, according to multiple reports.

The former Buffalo Bills star was originally sentenced to 9-to-33 years in Nevada prison after being convicted of charges including kidnapping and armed robbery of two memorabilia dealers.

Simpson, who will turn 70 in July, was denied parole in 2013 and 2014. He will have the date for his next parole hearing set in June.

Should Simpson be denied this time around, a mandatory parole review is scheduled for April 2022, according to the LA Times.

Simpson was also famously acquitted of murdering his ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and her friend Ron Goldman in the 1990s.
