Bengals' Giovani Bernard: Limited in OTAs

Bernard (knee) will be limited during the Bengals' OTA practices, Kevin Patra of Around the NFL reports.

Analysis:

Bernard tore his ACL six months ago and isn't expected to return in full until early on in the regular season. It wouldn't have been surprising to see him sit out OTAs entirely, so his limited participation is a step in the right direction. With the addition of Joe Mixon in the draft, Cincinnati is under no pressure to hurry Bernard back, as he'll likely be the third option when he does return.
