Could mobile betting be allowed at Raiders' Vegas stadium?

When the Oakland Raiders relocate to Las Vegas, fans may be able to place bets from their phones while attending games at the Nevada stadium.

ESPN's David Purdum wrote that such a practice will be allowed, unless the NFL can convince Nevada gaming officials to change policy.

Mobile sports betting has been allowed within Nevada state lines and there is currently nothing in the Raiders' stadium lease agreement that would negate fans from doing the same at Raiders home games. The Raiders are expected to move to Las Vegas in 2020.

"The NFL has not approached me for any policy decisions," Nevada Gaming Commissioner chairman Tony Alamo said to Purdum. "The Nevada Gaming Commission is the policy maker for the state of Nevada and gaming, and they have not approached us in any shape, way or form."

NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy told ESPN only that the Raiders "are required to abide by league rules on the matter."
