Calais Campbell: Jaguars have 'every piece to the puzzle'

Calais Campbell is optimistic about the Jacksonville Jaguars' future. Very optimistic.

The defensive end, who signed a big-money deal with the team in free agency, says he doesn't see any reason why his squad, which went 3-13 last season, can't compete for a Super Bowl this year.

"I truly believe this team has every piece to the puzzle," Campbell told John Oehser of the team's official website. "We don't need anything else."

Campbell is correct in that the Jaguars have at least one player at every position and could field a team if the season began tomorrow, but that's probably not what he meant.

While suggesting Jacksonville has the talent to compete at the NFL's highest level might be a stretch, it's undeniable that the addition of players like Campbell, as well as A.J. Bouye and draft picks Leonard Fournette and Cam Robinson, gives the Jaguars some much-needed upgrades.
