Victor Cruz has finally found himself a new home.

The veteran wide receiver has joined the Chicago Bears on a one-year contract, the team announced Thursday.

Cruz's lengthy free-agent run comes to an end over three months after he was released by New York Giants.

The Giants will forever be family. But for now, Bear down!!! 🐻⬇️

The Bears, seemingly content to have their surplus of wide receivers battle it out for roster spots in training camp, take a chance on the 30-year-old in hopes that he can recapture the form he enjoyed prior to a 2014 knee injury.

Cruz suited up for 15 games in New York last season after injury issues forced him to miss the entire 2015 season, but he was limited to just 39 receptions for 586 yards and one touchdown.

Along with returning wideouts Cameron Meredith, Josh Bellamy, Kevin White, and Deonte Thompson, Cruz joins an incoming group of free-agent additions that includes Kendall Wright and Markus Wheaton.
