Pittsburgh Steelers cornerback Senquez Golson was stopped at an Alabama airport by TSA agents for having a handgun with bullets in his carry-on bag Wednesday, according to TMZ Sports.

Agents notified police and Golson, a second-round pick in 2015, was escorted from the area, but not arrested. Instead, officials offered to hold the gun for him until he returned from his trip.

Golson was carrying a Glock .45 caliber pistol with 23 rounds of ammunition in the magazine.

Golson has yet to play for the Steelers after suffering multiple injuries through his first two seasons.
