Jets' Jalin Marshall: Suspension could hurt standing with team
Jets head coach Todd Bowles hinted that Marshall's upcoming four-game suspension could hurt his place on the depth chart, ESPN's Rich Cimini reports.
Analysis:
Marshall was expected to compete with Robby Anderson and Devin Smith, among others, for slotting behind Eric Decker (shoulder) and Quincy Enunwa. Between his four-game suspension for performance-enhancing drugs and the free-agent signing of Quinton Patton, Marshall seems in danger of sliding way down the depth chart. He may even need to compete for a roster spot during training camp. Things could open up a bit if the Jets eventually part ways with Decker as part of their ongoing rebuild.
