Watch: Favre confident he could still make NFL-level throws at 47

Brett Favre proved earlier this week he can still sling it while working out with Atlanta Falcons cornerback Robert Alford, and is confident he could compete at the NFL level.

However, the idea of getting hit again is enough to keep the 47-year-old former quarterback from coming out of retirement.

"I could still make all the throws," Favre told TMZ Sports. " ... If they promise they won't hit me, I'll play."

Favre also expressed concern about the long-term effects of concussions.
