The Carolina Panthers have brought back former second-round draft pick Amini Silatolu.

The Panthers signed the guard to a one-year contract on Friday.

Silatolu was a 40th overall draft pick in 2012 and spent the first four years of his career with Carolina before signing with the Chicago Bears ahead of last season. He was cut before the 2016 campaign got underway, however.

The 28-year-old featured at left guard in his previous stint with the Panthers. That spot is now occupied by Andrew Norwell, so Silatolu figures to be a depth piece.
