With the AFC Championship trophy at his side, Bill Belichick was in full Belichickian mode at his press conference Wednesday.

The New England Patriots coach called the presence of the Lamar Hunt trophy in the team facility "so exciting" in his typical deadpan fashion before dismissing the importance of having home field advantage Sunday.

"I don't know," said Belichick when discussing what it means to have the crowd behind him. "Go ask Dallas and Kansas City."

Both the Cowboys and Chiefs saw their seasons end last weekend on home turf.

Belichick dismissed other potentially distracting storylines - Roger Goodell’s lack of attendance in New Engalnd and Tom Brady’s Sports Illustrated cover - in the same fashion, stating he’s "focused on the Steelers."
