Report: Bills targeting Brad Childress, Greg Olson for OC vacancy

John Rieger / USA TODAY Sports

The Buffalo Bills have reportedly narrowed down their search for an offensive coordinator to work under new head coach Sean McDermott.

The Bills' top targets are reportedly Kansas City Chiefs co-offensive coordinator Brad Childress and former Jacksonville Jaguars OC Greg Olson, who was fired in October after a season and a half in charge of the offense, sources told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

Childress spent five seasons as head coach of the Minnesota Vikings from 2006-10. He was then the Cleveland Browns' OC for a year before joining Andy Reid's staff in 2013.

The 60-year-old Childress was promoted to co-offensive coordinator alongside Matt Nagy for the 2016 season, though Reid continued calling plays.

Olson guided the Jaguars to a top-ten finish in passing offense in 2015, drawing out great play from the likes of quarterback Blake Bortles and wide receiver Allen Robinson.

The unit regressed this season, however, and Olson was let go in late October.
