Norman: Redskins losing finale was 'disgusting'

Josh Norman didn't try to hide his anger at the Washington Redskins losing their regular-season finale Sunday 19-10 to the New York Giants, a defeat that ended their hopes of making the playoffs.

"That was disgusting," the cornerback said, according to ESPN's John Keim. "That was despicable."

The Redskins only needed a win to secure a wild-card berth and a second consecutive playoff appearance. Instead, Norman and Co. will be watching at home.

A substantial part of the blame for the loss falls on Kirk Cousins' shoulders, as the quarterback threw two interceptions, including one with 1:27 left in the game.

"This isn't my first time dealing with this," Cousins said. "All I know is it's going to give me an edge. I'm going to go into this offseason with a hunger that has always been there, but certainly when the season ends this way it will be there and it will be strong."
