Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Eli Rogers did not play Sunday against the New England Patriots, because he was late for a walkthrough Saturday, CBS Pittsburgh reports.

It wasn't Rogers' first violation of team rules and head coach Mike Tomlin didn't allow him to take a snap.

"He has to show he's accountable and that we can trust him and that he's the same guy every day," Steelers offensive coordinator Todd Haley told Ray Fittipaldo of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

Rogers has caught 13 passes for 135 yards and a touchdown this season.
