Dak Prescott: 'This is Tony's team'

Rookie Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott has been beyond impressive on the field, and he's turning heads off of it as well.

As Tony Romo remains sidelined with a shoulder injury, owner Jerry Jones has said he's still the team's starter, and Prescott, who leads all rookies in passing yards, agrees.

"This is Tony's team," Prescott said Wednesday, according to ESPN's Todd Archer. "I knew that going into the situation. I think everybody knew that. I'm just trying to do the best I can to give my team a chance to win week in and week out."

Prescott set the record for most passes without an interception by a rookie last Sunday, and has helped his team to a 4-1 record. Even if he does believe he's ready to take the reins, he knows the decision is out of his hands.

"That's not my call," he said. "It doesn't have anything to do with me. My job is to come in here, like I say, give these guys a chance to win, get better each and every day at practice, and that's all I focus on."

Prescott will get another chance to prove to the Cowboys they already have their quarterback of the future this Sunday, when they travel to Lambeau Field to take on the Green Bay Packers.
