Half a good game led to another 0-3 start by Bears

LAKE FOREST, Ill. (AP) After playing one solid half for three straight games, the Chicago Bears are looking for a way to play a full four quarters.

At 0-3 for the second straight year, the Bears are dealing with injuries and inconsistency as they return home from a loss at Dallas to play Sunday against the Detroit Lions.

It's not known yet whether quarterback Jay Cutler will return from a thumb sprain. Backup Brian Hoyer played a strong second half Sunday against Dallas, like most of the Bears did. It was too late.

An ankle injury to running back Jeremy Langford and a concussion suffered by safety Harold Jones-Quartey are contributing to the Bears' problems.
