Jaguars' Chris Ivory: Ineffective in season debut Sunday

Ivory (illness) made his season debut in Sunday's 19-17 loss to the Ravens, carrying 12 times for just 14 yards and hauled in his only target for an additional nine yards.

Analysis:

Ivory was finally able to participate in game action after dealing with an undisclosed medical issue of late, but he was obviously not at 100 percent Sunday, as he averaged a miserable 1.2 yards per carry and left the game at one point before returning. Ivory received 13 touches, compared to just eight for an equally ineffective T.J. Yeldon, and the two figure to split the workload moving forward. However, it remains to be seen if Ivory is simply rusty or if he is still suffering from the condition that caused him to go to the hospital two weeks ago. The Jags will host the Colts in Week 4.
