Broncos' DeMarcus Ware: Surgery set for Tuesday

Ware (forearm) is scheduled to have surgery Tuesday to repair his fractured ulna, which could result in a 4-5 week absence, James Palmer of NFL Network reports.

Analysis:

Ware was initially thought to be facing a three-week sideline stint, but coach Gary Kubiak has since revealed that his absence may actually last a week or two longer. His surgery Tuesday will include having a plate inserted in his arm, Mike Klis of 9News Denver reports. Regardless of the corresponding timetable, the veteran outside linebacker won't be available in the immediate future, which figures to result in more playing time for Shane Ray, Shaw Barrett and Dekoda Watson in the coming weeks.
