Seahawks waive Tharold Simon

The Seattle Seahawks waived cornerback Tharold Simon on Tuesday, according to Field Yates of ESPN.
Simon started five games in 2014 after being traded to the Seahawks as part of a deal that sent former third overall pick Aaron Curry to the Oakland Raiders.
The former fifth-round pick played significant snaps in Super Bowl XLVIII after Jeremy Lane suffered a serious arm injury. Since then Simon has had his career derailed by injuries as well.
In a corresponding move, the Seahawks signed defensive back Neiko Thorpe.
