Rams' Todd Gurley: Rested Saturday

Gurley did not play in Saturday's preseason game against the Broncos, the Orange County Register reports.

Analysis:

While many of the Rams' starters saw their share of snaps in Saturday's dress rehearsal, the team elected to play it safe with Gurley, who is on track to be the focal point of the team's offense this season. The second-year back, who did not play in the team's preseason opener, is also unlikely to play in Thursday's preseason finale against the Vikings. If that's the case, the 22-year-old's preseason will conclude with a total of four carries for 20 yards and a TD.
