Colts' Vontae Davis: Considered week-to-week

Davis (ankle) is considered week-to-week, head coach Chuck Pagano told Kevin Bowen of the Colts' official site.

Analysis:

Davis, who missed the Colts' preseason game versus the Ravens over the weekend, was initially thought to be dealing with a minor undisclosed injury. However, Pagano updated Davis' situation Monday, revealing he's carrying a medial sprain of his ankle, Stephen Holder of the Indianapolis Star reports. While clearing up what's bothering Davis, the accompanying week-to-week timetable indicates the issue isn't as minor as first thought. The Colts' top cornerback, Davis' injury only compounds Indianapolis' hardship at the position, as Patrick Robinson (groin), Darius Butler (hamstring) and Jalil Brown (ankle) are all also injured at the moment.
