Oakland Raiders defensive end Mario Edwards Jr.'s hip injury may not be serious, but he is reportedly still in danger of missing the start of the regular season.
Edwards suffered a hip strain against the Arizona Cardinals Friday and is expected to be sidelined for four-to-six weeks, a source told Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk.
The Raiders start their season against the New Orleans Saints on Sept. 11, just at the optimistic end of the Edwards' return timetable.
Denico Autry would be in line to replace Edwards in the starting lineup.
