Redskins sign WR Stewart
The Washington Redskins on Monday signed wide receiver Dez Stewart.
Stewart played his college ball at Ohio Dominican where he recorded 1,397 all-purpose yards last season. In 40 college games, he compiled 3,193 receiving yards and 25 touchdowns.
Tampa Bay signed Stewart as a free agent, but released him opening the door for the Redskins to sign the 6-foot-2, 200-pound wideout.
The Redskins now have 11 wide receivers on their roster. Other wide receivers hoping to latch on with the team inlcude Jamison Crowder, Reggie Diggs, Josh Doctson, Pierre Garçon, Ryan Grant, Maurice Harris, DeSean Jackson, Rashad Ross, Valdez Showers and Jarvis Turner.
