Steelers' Mike Mitchell: Ahead of schedule in recovery from shoulder injury
Mitchell is ahead of schedule in his recovery from shoulder and hand surgeries, The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reports.
Analysis:
Mitchell hasn't missed a game in either of the past two seasons, but underwent a pair of surgeries to repair lingering injuries this offseason. The veteran went under the knife after the Steelers were knocked out in the divisional round by the Broncos, and initially planned on taking his rehab slow in order to avoid any setbacks before training camp. However, he quickly progressed ahead of schedule in his recovery and fully participated in June's minicamp just over four months removed from surgery. Mitchell should be full-go for the commencement of training camp on July 28.
