Former Dallas Cowboys running back Joseph Randle incurred a new felony charge Tuesday, after allegedly threatening a deputy while detained at Sedgwick County Jail in May, according to records obtained by The Wichita Eagle.

The 24-year-old is facing a charge of criminal threat, stemming from an alleged incident while in prison. Randle was already incarcerated at the time for two previous felony charges, stemming from a February incident in Wichita.

Randle is due back in court for July 6, with bond set at $5,000 by District Judge Jeff Goering.

The running back was released by the Cowboys in November.
