The New Orleans Saints are set to sign kicker Connor Barth, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.

Barth - who was cut by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers after the team drafted kicker Roberto Aguayo in the second round of the draft - is reportedly on his way to New Orleans to sign a contract on Thursday.

After losing his job to rookie Kyle Brindza in training camp last season, Barth was brought back by the Bucs following Week 4. The team was obviously uncomfortable with the vet, releasing him for the third time in three seasons.

Barth will compete with Kai Forbath for the Saints' job.
