The Washington Redskins have selected linebacker Steven Daniels out of Boston College in the seventh round of the 2016 NFL Draft, 232nd overall.
Daniels projects to be an inside linebacker as part of Washington's 3-4, where he'd contribute primarily as an early down run defender.
Though late-round prospects are typically slated for special teams roles in their debut seasons, the free-agent departure of Keenan Robinson could conceivably allow Daniels to compete for snaps on defense.
