Friday's Point Guard Value Rankings
Here are theScore's point guard value rankings for Friday, March 25:
Value Rankings
PG | SG | SF | PF | C
Top Options
Name | Opponent | Value |
---|---|---|
Brandon Knight (PHX) | at SAC | 9 |
John Wall (WAS) | vs. MIN | 8 |
Kyle Lowry (TOR) | at HOU | 8 |
Knight is coming off a 25-point, eight-rebound, seven-assist night against the Lakers, and he draws another easy opponent in Sacramento. Despite missing two months of action, Knight has quickly settled back into his role as the lead point guard in Phoenix, playing over 30 minutes in each of his last six games.
With his salary falling below the other big names, Knight is the PG to target Friday.
After resting Wednesday in Boston, Lowry should return to full-time action in a favorable matchup against the Rockets. The diminutive PG is often a stable cash-game play, but with a night off and a defensively-inept opponent, Lowry has tournament upside.
Best of the Rest
Name | Opponent | Value |
---|---|---|
Ricky Rubio (MIN) | at WAS | 7 |
Stephen Curry (GS) | vs. DAL | 6 |
Rajon Rondo (SAC) | vs. PHX | 6 |
Kemba Walker (CHA) | at DET | 6 |
Emmanuel Mudiay (DEN) | at LAL | 6 |
Goran Dragic (MIA) | vs. ORL | 6 |
Darren Collison (SAC) | vs. PHX | 6 |
Jeff Teague (ATL) | vs. MIL | 6 |
D.J. Augustin (DEN) | at LAL | 6 |
Rondo has been extremely volatile of late posting only four double-doubles in hist last 10 and scoring a low of two points and a high of 25 in that same stretch. On a positive note, he is coming off the 25-point performance in which he also added 12 assists and eight rebounds.
A matchup against Phoenix pins two weak defenses against one another, but it is still best to reserve him for tournament play.
Augustin is the cheapest of the bunch here. He is averaging 13.8 points and 5.2 assists over his last six while also drawing the Lakers. He is an intriguing pick if you're willing to pass up the big names.

Name | Opponent | Value |
---|---|---|
D'Angelo Russell (LAL) | vs. DEN | 5 |
Jordan Clarkson (LAL) | vs. DEN | 5 |
Reggie Jackson (DET) | vs. CHA | 5 |
Jackson is averaging only 15.6 points on 40.4% shooting from the field in the month of March - both season lows in terms of monthly splits.
Nothing to See Here
Name | Opponent | Value |
---|---|---|
Tony Parker (SA) | vs. MEM | 4 |
Jerryd Bayless (MIL) | at ATL | 4 |
Patrick Beverley (HOU) | vs. TOR | 4 |
Elfrid Payton (ORL) | at MIA | 4 |
Bayless finally put his starting PG role to use, scoring 15 points and grabbing five assists Wednesday against Cleveland. However, another tough matchup against Atlanta makes it unlikely for a repeat performance.
