Report: NFLPA to consider reducing agent fees
Kirby Lee / USA TODAY Sports
One of the topics being discussed at the NFLPA's annual meetings in Hawaii is agent fees and whether to reduce them, according to Pro Football Talk's Mike Florio.
Some agents are worried about the possibility of having their revenue cut by 33 percent, while others are confident no changes will be made.
"There are too many smart people in the room for the fee to be reduced," one agent told PFT on Friday.
NFL agents currently have the lowest maximum fees in all professional sports at three percent. Baseball agents can earn up to five percent, while hockey and basketball agents have a maximum of four percent. Tennis and golf agents can make over 10 percent.
