Analysis:
According to Iowa State's release, Montgomery was dismissed for a violation of team rules, but not much more is known beyond that vague phrase. Montgomery had an excellent 2014 campaign, leading the team with 605 receiving yards thanks in part to the absence of Quenton Bundrage. Now that Montgomery is out of the picture, Iowa State has lost two of its top three receivers from last season in addition to quarterback Sam Richardson. Allen Lazard figures to be leaned upon even more heavily this upcoming season as the team's most talented and experienced receiver.
