VIDEO: Hawks pay tribute to Kobe
Los Angeles Lakers star Kobe Bryant doesn't want a full-fledged retirement tour as his 20-year playing career comes to a close.
What he wants and what he's going to get are two different things, though, as every opposing arena he visits for the last time will, in all likelihood, pay tribute to the five-time NBA champion in some way, shape, or form.
The Atlanta Hawks put together a video package for "The Black Mamba" on Friday night when the Lakers visited Philips Arena, with Bryant acknowledging the fans in attendance shortly thereafter:
Thanks for the memories, Kobe!
Here's our tribute video that just played in the arena:

This form of recognition is right up Bryant's alley, as the 17-time All-Star doesn't want teams to take away from the game by having on-court presentations in his honor.
