WASHINGTON - Tyler Moore and the Washington Nationals have agreed to a $900,000, one-year contract, avoiding arbitration.
The deal came ahead of Wednesday night's deadline for teams to offer contracts to unsigned players on their 40-man rosters.
Moore hit .203 with six homers, 27 RBIs and 45 strikeouts in a career-high 187 at-bats last season for the Nationals.
He has appeared in 277 games across four major league seasons, all with Washington, batting .228 with 24 homers and 91 RBIs, spending time as a first baseman and an outfielder.
