DFS: Friday's NHL Injury Report

Sergei Belski-USA TODAY Sports / USA TODAY Sports

Here's a look at the injury situation heading into Friday night's action:

Boston Bruins

W Matt Beleskey (upper body) missed practice Thursday and is considered day-to-day. W Jimmy Hayes will remain on the left side of C David Krejci and W David Pastrnak as the Bruins' second line.

D Dennis Seidenberg (back) resumed skating Monday, but he remains without a timetable for a return. D Kevan Miller continues to be a cheap option with some offensive upside while skating with D Zdeno Chara on the Bruins' top pairing.

Buffalo Sabres

There haven't been any changes to the Sabres' injury situation. G Robin Lehner (ankle) and D Zach Bogosian (lower body) remain sidelined. Neither of their replacements are worthy of fantasy consideration.

Calgary Flames

D Ladislav Smid (neck) may return Friday. If so, he'll likely skate on the team's third defensive pairing with Dougie Hamilton at even strength. He won't be worthy of use in daily fantasy contests.

Carolina Hurricanes

D James Wisniewski (knee) is still on the shelf, representing the Hurricanes biggest missing piece. C Joakim Nordstrom and W Riley Nash also continue to miss play, but none of the three are viable fantasy assets.

Detroit Red Wings

No change for the Red Wings. C Pavel Datsyuk (ankle) is nearing a return, but he remains without a timeline. W Johan Franzen (head) is experiencing concussion symptoms and he won't be rushed back.

Edmonton Oilers

W Jordan Eberle (shoulder) continues to miss time and that's not expected to change in the near future. There's been no update to his original late October/early November timeline, but it appears early November is the best-case scenario.

Los Angeles Kings

D Matt Greene (upper body) still isn't fully practicing. He has managed to suit up for three games this season, but the Kings will likely allow him to heal an injury that's been nagging him since preseason.

Montreal Canadiens

No injury concerns.

New York Islanders

No injury concerns.

Tampa Bay Lightning

The injury to G Andrei Vasilevskiy would have a negative impact on most teams in the NHL, but the Lightning will continue to ride Ben Bishop quite happily.

Washington Capitals

No injury concerns.

Winnipeg Jets

No injury concerns.
