Virginia Tech's Michael Brewer suffers broken collarbone, out 4-8 weeks

Virginia Tech suffered a costly loss Monday against Ohio State, in more ways than one.
Hokies quarterback Michael Brewer went straight to the locker room after taking a hard hit on his first drive of the second half. He suffered a broken collarbone on the play and will undergo surgery Tuesday. He'll be out 4-to-8 weeks.
Here's the play on which Brewer was hurt:
Virginia Tech turned the ball over to backup quarterback Brenden Motley, but weren't able to hold on against Ohio State, as the Buckeyes won 42-24.
Motley's the man for the Hokies moving forward, and he was positive in defeat.
"It's a big opportunity for me," Motley said. "I'm really excited about this and the team is going to rally around me. We're still a great team."
