Report: Letroy Guion's appeal of 3-game suspension to be heard Aug. 24
Green Bay Packers defensive tackle Letroy Guion's appeal of a three-game suspension will be heard on Aug. 24, according to ESPN's Rob Demovsky.
Guion's suspension wasn't formally publicized, but the 28-year-old was informed of the sanction by the NFL last month.
In February, Guion was arrested for marijuana and firearm possession, allegedly possessing 357 grams of marijuana, close to $190,000 in cash, and a handgun.
He is coming off the best season of his seven-year career, recording 32 tackles, 3.5 sacks, and a forced fumble.
If his suspension is upheld, expect B.J. Raji to take more defensive snaps. Guion started the entire season in 2014, playing 534 snaps, while Raji missed the entire year due to a torn biceps suffered during the preseason.
