Bills' LeSean McCoy limited at practice with minor toe injury

A minor toe injury is keeping LeSean McCoy from participating in team drills at training camp with the Buffalo Bills.

Head coach Rex Ryan said after practice Wednesday the star running back is dealing with soreness and swelling in his toe, but indicated the injury shouldn't affect him long-term.

"He’s just had a little toe … it’s not turf toe or anything like that," Ryan said, according to Mike Rodak of ESPN. "But that’s kind of a soreness/swelling type thing. It’s not something that’s really going to hamper him in the near future."

McCoy, a dynamic playmaker acquired in an offseason trade with the Philadelphia Eagles, should be the centerpiece of the 2015 Bills' offense.

While missing reps early in camp is notable, getting back to full strength before the regular season will remain the top priority for both player and team.
