VIDEO: Bayer Leverkusen's Julian Brandt scores vs. Bayern Munich on 19th birthday
Well, this is one way to celebrate a birthday.
Teenage attacking midfielder Julian Brandt turned 19 years old on Saturday and marked the occasion by scoring Bayer Leverkusen's second goal in their 2-0 win versus Bayern Munich.
With Pep Guardiola's side having already claimed the Bundesliga title and set to meet Barcelona in the semifinals of the Champions League on Wednesday, Bayern deployed a weakened squad that surely helped Leverkusen earn the positive result.
However, take nothing away from Brandt, who capped off a wonderful counterattack in the 82nd minute.
Believe it or not, but Brandt is actually the third Bundesliga player to have scored on his birthday this season.
2-0 (85') Julian Brandt (Leverkusen) scores on his 19th birthday. Two other birthday boys scored BL goals this season (Draxler, Calhanoglu).
